There used to be far more to Eve than which coalition you belonged to.
Brave should have never left Barleguet.
I really wish low sec income would be fixed so more groups could set up shop there.
If enough like minded people had enough effort and enthusiasm, BNI 2.0 should set up shop in Barleguet once again, albiet with one erratum - we play to play, not play to sov.

Right. Pretty much anyone that seriously wants null either already has it or could more easily assimilate into an established block.
Which is pretty much why the whole sov revamp is sort of pyrrhic - you can change the rules but you can't change how stacked the teams are. If the goal is to make life exciting for new players, Low and NPC null are the areas that need attention the most.

lowesc is pvp light. if you want all tactical options available to you you have to do 0.0 or wh pvp.
So null has bombs and bubbles, doesn't change the fact that most actual PvPers tend to congregate in low sec where they may find an actual fight with a worthy, like-minded party. Pound for pound, player for player, I'd wager on lowsec pilots everyday against your typical null sec resident.

I'm pretty sure the bigger question is, why would anyone want to actually play the sov game, at least in its present incarnation? It's crooked, but its the only game in town? It is literally un-winnable for a new participating entity, and you'd have to be foolish to consider otherwise.
Nawh. Brave succeeded in their mission statement to an extraordinary degree when they were young, and in Barleguet. Fun was indeed maximized per hour, for literally everyone that came into contact with that system. They did exactly what they set out to do. The moment they left an environment where success was possible, especially considering that success has a much more rigid definition in the sov game, its not surprising what happened.

Those regions would have trouble supporting the population of Brave, content and income wise. If you want to grow the sandbox, NPC null and lowsec have to be re-engineered to be able to support new groups, or at least tweaked. It's EvE Online, not Sov Online; groups should not be forced to 'grow up' or 'grow into' to sov null.

Eve Solecist wrote:Gee I wished people would stop talking about nullsec as if it was all of eve. It's not. Reading these bitter posts is completely misleading.
And how old are the brave newbies by now? They are getting there!
Eh, somewhat. If Low Sec and NPC null had more accessible income so new groups could settle in them and enjoy small gang fights and whatnot, the game's ecosystem would be far healthier. The emphasis is going to be where new players can set up and have fun easily, and if big blocks give them ships and a flag to fight for, they are naturally going to shift or keep the emphasis on null.
As always, the solution to so many things is to buff NPC null and low.
